I bought this juicer after reading several reviews. Omega J8003 is my first masticating juicer. I love that I don't have to worry about the pulp mixed up with the juice. It juices almost all fruits and vegetables. However, time is the biggest problem. It works very slowly; unless it is given time to crash and juice the fruit/vegi, it will send the pulp with the juice. I didn't enjoy smooth and pulp free juice until I realized that it was supper slow in masticating each slice. Even though I read that one of

I just got this juicer after having only used centrifugal juicers. Actually did own a champion years ago, that I'd almost forgotten about. This does a better job if you are considering one of those and the construction is equivalent. I did a fair amount of reading and made my purchase based partly on price. After having used it several times to juice carrots/apples/cabbage, I can say it does a fair job. Cleanup is quite easy (easier than the screen on centrifugal). Issues - juice volume is not what I expected. There are longer auger juicers that reviews indicated did a better job (just they were another $50). I considered the vertical auger (omega 330 and hurom) and now wish I'd spent more for them. My biggest complaint about this is the small chute (although typical for these - green star/samson/and omega all seem to have a 1.5x1.5 chute). The small chute means ALOT of chopping ahead of time. The hurom/omega 330 has a larger chute hence the wish to have spent more and gotten one of them (btw - they are same, as you'd find if you research). So in summary - easy to clean - easy to assemble and understand - feeding chute too small - volume of juice could be better - construction quality looks good.

But, I never got to even try it out. After washing all the parts, reading the instructions, putting it together, plugging it in? It was completely dead, it had no power at all. Evidently this Omega J8003 was defective. From all the reviews, I am sure I would have loved it. Instead, I shipped it back for a refund and purchased the Samson 9001 Single-Gear Juicer and even before I washed it, I checked to see if it would power-up, it did and I am really happy with it.

Love the juicer, works well w/ the Gerson Therapy. It's been a workhouse 40+ days straight. Cleaning is quick. Recommend a 4 cup pyrex glass bowl w/ this besides the one they give you to catch pulp.
Here's some background why to juice.
I have a Netflix account. Saw The Beautiful Truth and later the Gerson Miracle. Had a lump in my throat that was literally choking me when I ate. Bought the book, started juicing. I can swallow most of the time now and hope to be cured in time

I had to return the juicer, because it would not turn on. It may have been damaged in shipping. Would probably have given it four or five stars, had it worked properly.

The Samson GB9001 is excellent for wheatgrass and all leafy greens. The low 80 RPM speed insures the highest nutrional value. In addition to juicing, this unit can also make pasta, noodles, salsa, baby food, etc.
Other key points to consider are:

I could write a long review but everyone else has seem to sum up how wonderful the "Samson 9001" Single-Gear Juicer is! I originally purchased the "Omega J8003" but it was defective, it would not power-up, it was completely dead. I can't say that I would not have loved it also, and I'll never know, but, I am 100% satisfied and happy with the Samson and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality and well constructed juicer.

I found it to slow for carrots, which I juice alot. The machine needs to have them cut up in slender pieces to process, which takes to long. Not the product I was hoping for....

When my Nutritionist explained to me why I needed a twin gear juicer, I knew that I had to say goodbye to my juicer that grinds and spins the fruit or vegetables to make juice. What I needed was a juicer that did not create heat from friction and would press the fibers to release the enzymes so that nutritionally I could benefit from it. My Nutritionist does live blood cell analysis and I was able to plainly see that without the enzymes I could not heal on a cellular level.
I was most impressed by the Green Power KPE-1304 Twin Gear Juicer Wheatgrass, Vegetable & Fruit Juicer and I was able to get it at the right price from Amazon.com. I expected to wait for delivery at least 10 days, but instead it arrived about 30 hours after ordering it. I was blown away at the service! I have not been disappointed after it arrived and I have used it everyday since.
I love everything about it! It truly does everything it says it does. Wheatgrass and greens are fantastic and with no effort! Vegetable and fruits are easy to do and are delicious! Since I like sorbet and ice cream - with the crusher attachment you put through precut & frozen fruits to make the best sorbet imaginable. Put in frozen bananas and you think you are eating ice cream. Yum!
Then when you have finished juicing, the clean-up is a snap. Needless to say, I am very, very pleased with my purchase -- the price -- the service -- the quality of the juicer -- the easy of using it!

Yes, I agree with the reviews about delicious juice. However, this machine is an absolute horror to clean. It also has no safety switch and will start when not completely assembled. You must unplug the juicer for safety, which is recommended for all electrics anyway. It easily clogs up and makes a disgusting mess. I would not recommend this juicer to anyone. My Omega was and is a far superior juicer.

My compliments to Amazon for service. July 22nd at 11:35 a.m. I purchased the Omega 8005 juicer as a gift and opted for free shipping. At 5:15 p.m., the same day, I received a shipping notification. It was delivered by mid-day the following day, July 23rd. I don't know whether this is a record for Amazon and UPS, but it's mighty impressive. Thank you Amazon.

Omega J8005 Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer, Chrome and Black
The Omega 8005 juicer arrived on time, packaged properly. When plugged in and switch turned on nothing happened. Upon closer inspection i found the opening that would normally hold a reset button on the underside of the appliance was just an empty hole. Since the package was apparently not tampered with it came directly from China this way. The quality control on many products "made in China" has been steadily going down over the last couple of years.
It's now about a 50/50 chance that one of their products is working as intended.
I am giving this product 3 stars because the principle designed is very good. It's just bad quality control and the choice of materials used is at least questionable.
BTW. I got my money back quickly from amazon.com
I am going to buy the 8006 model and hope for the best. The 8006 models main component composition is much better then the 8005. The compression screw of the 8005 model is made of a polymer from melamine and formaldehyde. Two highly toxic materials. (As long as they stay a polymer they are OK but !)
When the screw is used under constant pressure coming in contact with other parts of the juicer over an extended period of time some of that polymer may come off and break up into its original harmful constituents and consequently be consumed with the "healthy juice".It's not going to kill you ,at least not right away, but who needs that?
I know that the 8006 model uses a much harder polymer for the same part and is made from less toxic materials. So I am going to take a chance with that one. Good luck folks Holger

Yeah it arrived on time but I would rather it be late in good condition and WORK! It had 0 power and I tried it in different outlets. No success. Complete waste of time and drama with Amazon. Yes I got my refund back promptly. I got the Breville instead and i'm very happy with it!!

I don't understand how this machine works - it's just a few very simple parts, but so powerful!!!
Very good at juicing almost everything - greens, vegetables, fruit - although, it does run into a little trouble with soft items (like peaches or papaya). They tend to get clogged in it. If juicing soft items, I recommend making a mixed juice with something hard in it as well (i.e. carrots). While juicing, interchange feeding pieces of the hard items with the soft items, as the hard items will hel

HERE IS MY UPDATED REVIEW:
I promised an updated review here once my official verdict was in on this juicer, so here it is. Please see my original review, still retained here below.
I still will say that this juicer makes great carrot juice, no doubt about it. However I have found it to leave wheatgrass juice pulp more wet than I had expected it to based on other reviews.
Omega did, without any complaints, send me my replacement parts to determine if my auger was defective. T

I purchased this same model in white, the J8004, from another vendor listed on the Omega website, even after reading the few negative reviews here which pointed out that bits of the auger were being chipped and shaved by the juicing screen during operation. I figured that this could simply be solved by allowing the unit to run dry for a time, and eventually a good "fit" would be made.
Indeed, after allowing the unit to run for 5 minutes, the inside of the juicing screen was covered in a plast

My Hurom Slow Juicer arrived yesterday and I am super-impressed with it.
I was concerned, however, about some recent reviewers who said that they couldn't get Hurom customer support on the phone or via email, and that the product had been sold to a different company, Roland.
So I called the "Office" phone number on the Hurom warranty sheet to see if I got the runaround, an endless loop of phone menu options, or someone rude, etc. My plan, if I couldn't reach anyone, was to then

I was so impressed with their commercial, and it makes sense to me to get a slow juicer, for the quality is so much better, but boy it is a pain to use, well, to clean really. It does simple things very easily (like apples, berries, parsley, greens believe it or not) but throw anything with some stingy texture (like celery, or mango, or pineapple) and it clogs up on you.
I love the quality of the juice, but when I am taking it apart, decongesting it and putting it back together to continue my juicing, I am thinking if I would have been better off buying the Breville.
I cannot say you get more juice from the Hurom than from the Breville, because I have only used this one.
Great juice quality, but you pay for it in time and patience.

I've had this juicer for about seven months and juice daily as a treatment for cancer. When all the parts are new, it works beautifully. However, in that time I've had to replace the strainer eight times, the bowl twice and the gear twice. All of this appears to be due to the poor construction of the strainer. The plastic parts of the strainer crack and break easily, sometimes causing further damage to the bowl and gear. An all metal strainer could have solved this problem.
Up until now the com
