After high school I worked in a fruit juice and sandwich cart. We used these for hours a day. I have had one at home for decades. Every other juicer I have tried pales in comparison. Only drawback: the edges of large grapefruit protrude or have to be squished in, but since you can do lemons and limes really effectively (much better than a hand press so I use it when making cocktails too, thus it gets lots of use :-) ), the range is still more than acceptable and most average grapefruit are fine. I am so pleased with our new juicer. It has been used multiple times a day over the past month we have owned it. It is easy to clean the three removable parts that come into contact with the orange and juice and all the other parts are easy to wipe down too.
My eight year old is able to use this and has lots of fun making juice for everyone who wants a glass. We are finally putting a dent in our orange supply as our tree is pretty loaded this year. We did have an electric juicer which we received

If you are looking at reviews, it means you are already in the market for a citrus juicer. Stop looking. You found it. Just click "add to cart" and go back to watching youtube.

This is a FANTASTIC juicer. Way better than the twisty kind that makes your wrists hurt after 3 lemons. It is well made, mostly made of metal, sturdy, and will clearly last a LONG time. It makes juicing citrus fruits a breeze. It is super easy, and honestly, the handle action is a lot of fun. It gets all the jui

I use this juicer everyday at a very high end restaurant ( I can't mention the name) but I use this squeezing about 100 fruits a day including oranges, grapefruit, lemons and limes, a day and it works great I would highly recommend this to anyone, though It does require a bit a pull and strength to squeeze a large fruit, the trick is to bring the fruit to room temp, or even rinse the fruit with warm to hot water before squeezing. This way you will get twice the juice and save money.

Every year we harvest our pomegranates from our tree and prepare jelly for friends and acquaintances for gifts at Christmas. We've juiced pomegranates about every way imaginable, but this commercial citrus juicer is a home run for juicing pomegranates all the way! After juicing, a couple passes through the cheese cloth, and the liquid is ready for preparing the jelly. I'm so glad we purchased this juicer!

The Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer is a great juicer that gets all the juice out of citrus with very little effort. I grew up with orange and lemon trees using an electric juicer that you pushed the orange-half into while the fruit was agitated by a spinning cone and all the real work was being done by your shoulder at the expense of your wrist - I swore that I would never own a juicer like that when I grew up. Well, now I have orange, lemon and lime trees of my own and know that when its time to harvest there will be a lot of squeezing to be done. This is the tool for the job. Our lemon tree is going OFF and it is no sweat to juice up a ton of lemons. I freeze the lemon juice in 1cup servings for year-round lemonade. I've made orange juice and limeade, too, and that fruit is equally simple to juice with this juicer.

Clean-up is a breeze, just lift out the juice cup, funnel and cone (no sharp edges) and rinse - they slide right back on when dry. TIP: do this immediately after juicing - no amount of money spent will make it easy to remove dried citrus from a juicer. I haven't tried grapefruit.

I'll post again in a year to comment on the wear an tear, but so far this is a heavy-duty, high-quality product.

I got the Hamilton Beach juicer because I read that citrus presses would work for juicing pomegranates, and I have a pomegranate tree and lemon tree in the backyard. Once I discovered that a citrus press would work for pomegranates, I thought it would be a great thing to get to make juice and pomegranate lemonade.

I read reviews of various cheaper models, and it sounded like most of them tend not to get all the juice from lemons, or break too easily. For a fruit as tough as pomegranates, I figured I'd better shell out for a stronger model. This Hamilton Beach commercial juicer works great. It gets just about every drop of juice out of a lemon, and most of the juice from a pomegranate. It's very easy to use, effective, and easy to clean.

The only issues I have are that it's expensive, and it's also large so it's hard to find a good place to store it. But I'm happy that I bought it, because it's so easy to use and makes good pomegranate lemonade!

After ordering this, I was reluctant to tell my husband what it cost. And, yes, when he found out, he thought I was insane to spend $180 on a manual juice press. But now that we've had it for three months, he loves it as much as I do and agrees it's well worth the price. It's absolutely perfect: easy to use, good balance and leverage, doesn't take a lot of muscle to press, very easy to clean. We now use it every day, from morning orange juice to evening lime mojito cocktails. It really is worth the money.

I bought the Hamilton Beach juicer about 25 years ago and use every day. It is a remarkable product. If you want to extract the maximum amount of juice from every orange or grapefruit it is better to chop off a small portion of the top and bottom of the fruit before squeezing (I learned this by watching coffee shop attendants at work). My HB juicer looks like it has a lot of years ahead in strong form so I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this for our Cub Scout Pack. We sell lemonade at our town's annual street festival as a fundraiser. We've tried every electric juicer there is. Most have trouble with our production requirements.

We squeeze between 2000-3500 lemons in about 4-6 hours once a year.

No matter which new fangled power juicer we get duped into trying, our trusty HB-932 is always ready to produce. No line cord to fuss with either.

The collection cup is a hassle. Its more trouble than benefit so we rubber band the sprig loaded arm out of the way and instead squeeze directly into a measuring cup. If the squeezer was as tall as a 16oz plastic Solo cup we could save a step & dispense the juice directly into the patron's cup. That would be slick but I fear the juicer would then become top-heavy.

The strainer should really be 316 Stainless but the plated thing works.

Other than that, this is the best juicer we've found so far. The HB932 is fast, efficient, very reliable & easy to clean. We really don't need anything more.

I bought this before I realized that it will only work with oranges or other CITRUS with a strong skin. What I actually want to buy is a juicer that is good for all kinds of fruits. Indeed for lemons you dont need a machine but just squeeze with fingers. I tried to put the empty skin of an orange on top of a half apple and use the machine, but got only little juice. This machine will not work for "hard" fruits, even not for pears. But as to its designed function it is very good. I can imagine it being used for a family party where people sip slowly while talking.
Hope they will have better design to cover other fruits. I like manual juicer as the electronic ones will be harmful for the nutritions.

Why change a good thing - this is the juicer my family had when I was a kid. Now my family has it too (and my son loves to help squeeze.) I have frequently given it as gift, and everyone raves.

My only caveat is that this is not the juicer for you if you want pulpy juice.

We have two mature citrus trees: one juice orange and one white grapefruit. Both produce more fruit than you can believe. We purchased this Hamilton Beach juicer to try and deal with the sheer volume of citrus we have and then freeze the juice.

The juicer performs marvelously. It is unbelievable how much juice comes out of each piece of fruit with little effort and how little waste is left behind. Seeds and most pulp are trapped, but yet the device doesn't clog. Clean up is quick and easy, too. The juicer has a nice, solid feel. The only problem is the size for storage ... it does take up some room.

We are very happy with this purchase.

I looked at different models and different types of juicers and this is by far the best for juicing lemons, limes and oranges. I do not think it would work as well with grapefruits as they are too big for the base. We love squeezing limes in the summer and now we can do it quickly and painlessly. It's so much fun that our two daughters ages 8 and 3 want to be part of the action. It is big so make sure you have enough space for it. We have it on the counter and it looks great. It is well made, it has a nice weight to it and all components should last for a long time. I would have preferred if all parts were made of stainless steel but this is a small complaint. My only regret is that I did not buy it as soon as I found it. But now I am sure we got just the right thing. If you love lime pies, mojitos and limeade look no further.

I saw a friend had one of these and I loved the simplicity and durability of the juicer. Their juicer was purchased just a couple years ago, and was made in the USA. However, I was shocked when I received this one to discover it was made in China. The price has stayed the same, but the country of origin has certainly changed.

Juicer works great. Love it.

I love the fact that it is not messy. It is actually the quickest juicing method I can think of--the mechanism does the "work". I find it the easiest to clean as well. I wonder if it doesn't get quite as much juice out as other methods...it may depend on the quality/texture of the oranges.

So I was waiting and waiting for a used juicer to come onto ebay, and they all sold for 70 to 90 dollars plus 30 dollars shipping minimum. Waited about 2 months then after a long time used hb932 went for 80 dollars with chips and rusted shafts, I decided to buy one. Online the best price I found was from restaurant Equipment world online ( Pierce sales co.inc). ordered it at a good price it was shipped with 12 dollars shipping and arrived as promised. I LOVE IT. I've had the cheaper knock offs and looked at the "rustic" Mexican juicers, (thats what they are called) and the hb932 is sleek sexy and does a great job. very well designed and clean lines. a little on the big side but hey let it stand out as a testiment to juicing excellence. if you can afford it or do a lot of juiceing of citrus get it.

Item came very quickly. The juicer does the best job of juicing oranges of any juicer I have tried (about 6). This juicer will last longer than many of the others due to the way it is built. It does allow pulp through which I would prefer not happening (I know it's good for you but it makes me gag). Having mentioned gagging, the pulp that does come through is tolerable. Very, Very easy to clean. It is definitely a keeper.
PS. I do not think it would juice grapefruit very well since on larger oranges, the bottome portion does not get squeezed completely and grapefruits are even larger. I'm fine because I only wanted it for oranges. Hope this helps

It's got that kooky retro, somewhat awkward shape that's a few inches too tall for most counters with cabinets above. School cafeteria-like heavy plastic parts and a solid feeling mechanism. Can't knock the friendly, quiet, non-electric connectedness to physically hand pressing your citrus. But beware GRAPEFRUITS of standard size DO NOT EASILY FIT into the juicer. And even small ones take a bit of fiddling to not have the juice run outside the strainer. Pricey gadget--but a quality item that feels dated but in a good way.

I got this juicer for my wife as she LOVES making lemonade from scratch. This thing is a lifesaver for this activity. She was going to make a larger batch (Like 24 lemons) just before her birthday so I gave it to her early and she loves it. Basically effortless to use and it does a great job. Little mess and it saves her hands a bunch of straining. It is well made and I have no complaints. I would definately buy it again. Only complaint is that it could have a larger base so that a larger bowl or a pyrex measuring cup could fit between it. Other than this small issue I give it a thumbs up.

I just got this juicer and it seems very suitable for the job. Usage and cleaning are very convenient. The design is very simple and elegant. And the unit is light enough to move around. It's not going to be a permanent counter top piece since it's very big. Looks like it would last for a while.

Tips for use: Start with your hand fully extended when you are standing in front of the juicer, if you stand closer the movement will be more difficult to execute. Apply slow and steady pressure on the lever from start to the end of the movement, stopping mid motion is also ok if you start again slowly. That is much preferred to abrupt high-pressure movements. If you are applying to much pressure when the orange is fully quizzed, there would be a strange noise when the skin of the fruit is starting to get juiced and you can see some drops from the oil in the skin, better stop before that.

One problem I found with it is that you can potentially cause damage if you use it without an orange. Pressing it empty would easily break the internal parts.

Regarding Amazon service, they were taking two months to ship the unit, and changed the shipping dates several times after promising a shipping date. I canceled the order and ordered from another company who would match their price 115$ with free shipping.

Sometimes you just can't improve on the original - this Manual Juicer stays on our counter all the time, unlike the food processer, blender, etc. It is THE best juicer I have ever used and now that I have it, I find it indespensible. I juiced two bushels of lemons (which I froze for later use) and it seemed like it took more time to cut the lemons in half than to actual juice them, and when you're done, there is NO juice left to be had in the lemon. It's GREAT!

THIS IS THE BEST JUICER EVER. BESIDES DOING ORANGES, LEMONS AND LIMES, I HAVE DONE POMEGRANITS. IT JUICED ALL WITH EASY, NO DRIPPING ON COUNTER THANKS TO THE CUP THAT SWINGS BACK WHEN YOU REMOVE YOUR GLASS. IT IS MANUAL, NO ELECTRIC, VERY EASY TO PULL LEVER AND GETS EVERY DROP. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT THIS. VERY VERY WELL MADE WILL OUT LAST ANY OTHER.

I tried some cheaper pressure juicers like arcosteel and typhoon. Although these two got the idea, they were far away from jucing oranges (they can do lemons and limes OK). Thyphoon got some design issues though. Hamilton Beach is good for small and mid-size oranges (haven't tried large orange or grapefruit yet). It has enough power and capacity to get all the juice out. I can get one glass of juice from two oranges whereas it took three oranges with arcosteel and more with typhoon.

HB has larger and stronger pressure cup that gets the job done. The strainer has little round holes all over the place so juice finds its way down. Others had fewer but larger holes which allowed the white stuff inside the orange get into the juice but also smashed the orange against nonperforated surface. HB's strainer holds the pulp stuck inside wall which can be later scraped and put bak into the juice or discarded. It is not the intention to callect pulp this way probably but I usually scrape it and put it back to the juice for extra fiber.

I also noticed that juice is sweeter because there is lees skin oil. With others, there was more oil and that made the juice taste bitter. I guess it is related with the number of holes being more in HB. Therefore, there is less pressure on the skin.

It is easy to clean. You need to line up the groves and edges to disasemble. Drip collection cup works like charm.
Everytime I squees oranes with HB, it think about what I read once from another review "juice galore". If you tried others, you will like this one. I didn't give 5 stars because it is not perfect (1- squeezing arm stands in lower angle at the time of squeeze, not an efficient angle to use your muscles efficiently if it sit on a normal height countertop, 2- it may not have the same efficiency with larger oranges and grapefruits, and 3- it is kind of expensive but thanks to Amazon.com I got a very good deal). Hope this review helps.

The juicer works well and the other reviewers have got it right. I just wanted to add two observations to buyers. First, the juicer is very tall so it doesn't fit underneath you kitchen cabinets. Second, there is a limit to the size of the fruit you can juice. The only oranges I could find at first where large eating oranges and although they could be juiced not all of the orange was juiced. When I started using valencia oranges which are smaller and tangerines it completely juices the fruit.

This is an elegant yet functional, classic design which adds to rather than detracts from the appearance of a kitchen. Heavy, sturdy metal with a few hard plastic parts, built to endure the ages. I have been very pleased with it, though I will note it is best suited for oranges and smaller. Small grapefruits certainly will work fine, but larger grapefruit or pomello may require extra care to ensure that the edges of the fruit are tucked in.

I strongly suggest buying a new one rather than anything off Ebay, where you can easily be ripped off and have no recourse but to accept a substantial loss, which is all too often the case on Ebay. My case is instructive. I purchased a juicer similar to this one for $50 on Ebay, thinking I would save money. The auction claimed it was in perfect condition and worked fine. What I got was a juicer with a damaged thread that did not work. I shipped the thing back, but did not receive any refund.

To Paypal's credit, they ruled in my favor a month after I filed a claim, and I am due a refund, unless the Seller absconds, forfeiting their account. Not a remote possibility, given his general character as revealed so far. The seller has been selling lower priced items like mad, though I have noticed that my formerly solitary negative now has company, and that he is treating others as he treated me.

My next step was to buy this juicer from Amazon, and what can I say? The shipping was fast, and of course the juicer was new and perfect.

Don't try to save money by visiting RipOff Central (Ebay). As far as I'm concerned, this place is the ONLY place online. Yes, the price is somewhat high, but isn't it refreshing to deal with people of honor who you can trust?

I bought this juicer after trying an orangex juicer that broke on the 4th orange I put through it. My Hamilton-Beach juicer has lasted through a whole bag now, so here's the scoop:

Good things:
1) Rack & pinion action effectively transfers the applied force to the squeezer. There's no off-axis force so you don't have to worry about the whole darn thing tipping over when you bear down.

2) Gratifyingly simple to disassemble and clean.

3) The metal grate's edges are machined smooth - - no worries about getting cut (one of the problems I had with the orangex product).

4) When you remove your juice glass, a drip cup swings into place to keep residual juice drippings off your countertop. That is a very user-friendly design element.

5) The mechanism does a good job of extracting all of the juice.

6) The resulting juice did not have any hint of strong citrus oil.

Other things:
For a product that bills itself as "professional grade", it seems like it could be easy to overpower & break something if you 'hang on the lever'. I would not be too overzealous about squeezing the last drops if dealing with a grapefruit or a really big orange, for fear of breaking something. But for lemons, limes, and standard size oranges it seems just fine.

While the unit doesn't weigh very much, it's pretty tall -- about 20" in its fully-down, storage position -- so storage may be an issue for some.

Overall:
I'm glad I got this one.
