After watching juicer infomercials, I did some research on Amazon and found this juicer. I figured I'd give it a try. The pulp from the fruits and veggies seemed quite wet, especially citrus fruits. I got jealous after seeing the demo for another juicer that produced much drier pulp. Hate to waste any precious juice still left in the waste bin. Love the fact that the mouth is nice and wide though. So minus two stars for wet pulp and loud motor.

Works fine, although a little messy to clean up (as they all probably are). Didn't get as much juice from apples as I'd expected, but that may be due to my inexperience. No juice at all from bananas (must be mostly pulp). Overall, I'm satisfied with it, and its cost was reasonable.

I bought this juicer two months ago on the basis of the Consumer Reports review and the positive reviews here. As a first-time juicer I must say it is all it is cracked up to be. I use it daily. Easily and quickly juices veggies, which is all I have juiced, this include carrots. Also cleans up easily, especially if you add the plastic bag to the catch bin. Takes me 10 minutes to prep my veggies, juice half a glass, clean up, and put it away. I rotate through the following veggies: celery, cucumbers, b

This is my first juicer. I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. All the fruits and vegetables go through it without any problem. There really isn't much chopping involved. At the most I have had slice a fruit like an apple or pear in half.

The juice it makes is fantastic. I am a fan of making juice from combining fruits and vegetables. For me this makes a better tasting juice and gets my daily vegetable intake.

I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

This is not my first juicer and I'm very pleased with this model. The juice is good and the pulp is very dry compared to many others I've had over the years. It's a little painful to cleat but aren't the all... So far it runs smooth and juices easy (no forcing).

Having used this juicer almost everyday for the last month since purchase, the only complaint I have is the incredible loudness of the motor! As other reviewers have mentioned, it really does sound like a jet engine!
Having said that, this machine works very quickly to juice whatever veggies I use (nothing fancy, mostly just raw carrots and celery, apples and cucumber). I wash and trim or large chop them, taking only a few seconds of my time. Instead of using the juice receptacle provided, I keep m

I bought this juicer for me and two weeks later I bought one for my daughter who studies in college and needs to eat and drink healthy. She starts to make her own green veggie drinks everyday and she has lost a few inches around her waist. Because she never has the time to cook veggie, so she just plugs the juicer in and makes some easy drinks with lettuce and spinach. It is so fresh and healthy. If you want to stay healthy, you have to have one. Drink the veggie juice raw and make your bones strong!Hamilto

Easy to clean up and quality is outstanding. I couldn't believe how well made it was. I have gone through many blenders, mixers, etc. in my house but I don't expect this item to break. It produces a lot of juice and I couldn't be more pleased with the product.

Made my first juice today - 2 carrots, an apple and a peach. Yummy! Just a bit of trouble with the basket fitting (takes a bit of cajoling), but once everything was together correct, so easy to feed the washed carrots, the quartered apples, and the pitted peach. Despite the "big mouth" the large fall apple needed to be cut up. There was hardly any juice in the leftover pulp, meaning I got maximum juice from the fruit. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to start rebuilding health and immune system th

It is a little noiser than some but not excessive for the time it takes to do its job. Your done qickly and clean up is simple. They all have to be cleaned, so no getting around that. I have my juice book and can't wait to start this way of life. What I don't understand is why it is taking so long to be shipped? Does it come from the interior land mass not yet named? China, maybe? Or is the juice extractor in the process of being put together? I really wanted to start using it yesterday.

This is an excellent juicer for the price. It cleans up really easy. My only complaint is that the "Big Mouth" isn't really as big as it looks-you could fit a really tiny apple in-but it is so easily to cut one in half that it's no problem. It is a bit loud to operate.

We chose this juicer on the recommendation of Consumer Reports, and it was a great tip. Virtually anything fits into the "mouth" -- whole oranges, apples, etc. I would say the only thing that hasn't juiced well for us was an extremely ripe banana...too mushy I think. We have been using produce bags to line the pulp collector, and that really cuts down on clean up. The brush included makes cleaning the blade very easy. The only negative thing to say is that it is quite noisy, so you can't get away with

...and very well, too. The 67650 extractor produces all the juice possible, from whatever fruit you use. I've used carrots, apples, grapes, oranges, peaches, and plums. My purchase was based on the reviews that others had posted. I agree that the cleaning of the sytem takes a good deal of time, and some very detailed work...but that's the only bit of bother. I find the use of a toothbrush cleans out the narrow spaces of the unit. Also, cleaning of the micro mesh strainer is best done, with a toothbrush,

This is a fantastic piece of machinery. The only thing I never thought about is how loud it is. There are some out there that are quiet. This one is as loud as a blender. It really does give a lot of juice! I have a lot of people that are kinda shocked about how much I get. Fairly easy to clean, just time consuming. Pro's:

Cons:

They said you don't have to spend a fortune on a juicer, and in fact the best tested and rated juicers was this model; i.e. with the big mouth and costing around $80.00. This information they obtained from "Consumer Reports". They have a

Some types of fruits just don't juice very well so I think you are limited to only the hard fruits. Some of the reviews say to re-use the pulp, but that is VERY messy and also doesn't result in much more juice.

This is the second Hamilton Beach I've owned. The first one, a 600 series, had a dial switch, was noisy, and had a poorly design interface between the juice strainer basket and power wheel. The 650 series unit is a significant improvement in all these areas. It also comes with a large juice cup and brush, small but nice additions. It's a great juicer.

This juicer is very sturdy and lasted long. However, it did extract juice only from small pieces. For instance, I could not make it triturate a watermelon's peel. So, what's the use? If I have to cut it into pieces, I'd rather use the blender, which is smaller and easier to clean. Nobody mentions what a hassle it is to clean this thing. You have to dismantle the whole thing, piece by piece, and rub the metal grinder which has blades that at minimum will hurt your hands. I gave it away to my sister-in-law.

I bought mine in December 2007. Shortly after the warranty expired, one of the retaining straps failed. I managed to fix it myself, although, it does not hold the lid on as tight as it did when new. I contacted Hamilton Beach and all they offered was to sell me a brand new one since this was out of warranty. I can't imagine why a single strap cannot be replaced - it's a separate part and easily comes out. Up to this point, I only used it once per week so needless to say, I was disappointed with the quality.
I decided to get into juicing for the health aspect. This is my first juicer so I will just tell you what I liked and disliked. You cannot put in large whole fruits. In fact, the average sized apple or tomato was easily lodged in the mouth. I always cut up my fruits/veges so it's really not an issue - but is misleading. Not sure if it's because of the broken strap, but the top leaks for high liquid items such as tomatoes or grapes. It can make a real mess. The motor is strong but does "bog" down when you need to push an item through. Whole apples are particularly difficult but nothing major. Overall, it juices and I like it. I think my greatest dissatisfaction is the broken strap. If it weren't for that, I think I'd give it a 4 or 4.5.

I really like my Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor but I think it is important to see the big picture.

I like that it is relatively easy to clean so that I can use it frequently. But it is really best for juicing hard fruits and veggies. It is great for celery, radishes, carrots, and apples, for instance.

It is not good for oranges, grapefruits. Those fruits just seem to go directly into the pulp container so it is a waste. For those juices I use a citrus juicer. If I want to mix citrus juices into my veggie juice I use both machines.

If you want to add banana you are going to need to use a blender. Is there a product out there that does it all? I don't know.

You don't really get a clear juice, you get more of a julius with some pulp. This doesn't concern me. I like mixing fruits and veggies together for juice.

Like others recommend I put a little plastic bag in the pulp container to make cleanup faster.

I really love the taste of fresh juice so I don't mind playing with a few electronic appliances. I appreciate the ability to add more fruits and veggies to my diet and I've started eating more fruit (non-juiced) as a part of my diet so that is a nice outcome.

I orderd this produt because of the great reviews I read. BIG MISTAKE. You need to put alot of fruits/vegetables in to get one small glass. ALOT OF IT GETS UNUSED. This machine wastes so much. More pulp than juice. Next time I think I am going to by the VITAMIX. I looked at the prices on them and they are very expensive but I guess I will have to save up because I think it is more what I am looking for. I want a blender type where you can throw everthing in and get a whole glass. This way you know the quantity you are putting in is the same you get out!!!
