After watching juicer infomercials, I did some research on Amazon and found this juicer. I figured I'd give it a try. The pulp from the fruits and veggies seemed quite wet, especially citrus fruits. I got jealous after seeing the demo for another juicer that produced much drier pulp. Hate to waste any precious juice still left in the waste bin. Love the fact that the mouth is nice and wide though. So minus two stars for wet pulp and loud motor.

Works fine, although a little messy to clean up (as they all probably are). Didn't get as much juice from apples as I'd expected, but that may be due to my inexperience. No juice at all from bananas (must be mostly pulp). Overall, I'm satisfied with it, and its cost was reasonable.

I bought this juicer two months ago on the basis of the Consumer Reports review and the positive reviews here. As a first-time juicer I must say it is all it is cracked up to be. I use it daily. Easily and quickly juices veggies, which is all I have juiced, this include carrots. Also cleans up easily, especially if you add the plastic bag to the catch bin. This is my first juicer. I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. All the fruits and vegetables go through it without any problem. There really isn't much chopping involved. At the most I have had slice a fruit like an apple or pear in half.

The juice it makes is fantastic. I am a fan of making juice from combining fruits and vegetables. For me this makes a better tasting juice and gets my daily vegetable intake.

I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

I bought this juicer for me and two weeks later I bought one for my daughter who studies in college and needs to eat and drink healthy. She starts to make her own green veggie drinks everyday and she has lost a few inches around her waist. Because she never has the time to cook veggie, so she just plugs the juicer in and makes some easy drinks with lettuce and spinach. It is so fresh and healthy. Easy to clean up and quality is outstanding. I couldn't believe how well made it was. I have gone through many blenders, mixers, etc. in my house but I don't expect this item to break. It produces a lot of juice and I couldn't be more pleased with the product.

Made my first juice today - 2 carrots, an apple and a peach. Yummy! Just a bit of trouble with the basket fitting (takes a bit of cajoling), but once everything was together correct, so easy to feed the washed carrots, the quartered apples, and the pitted peach. Despite the "big mouth" the large fall apple needed to be cut up. There was hardly any juice in the leftover pulp, meaning I got maximum juice from the fruit. We chose this juicer on the recommendation of Consumer Reports, and it was a great tip. Virtually anything fits into the "mouth" -- whole oranges, apples, etc. I would say the only thing that hasn't juiced well for us was an extremely ripe banana...too mushy I think. We have been using produce bags to line the pulp collector, and that really cuts down on clean up. The brush included makes cleaning the blade very easy. The only negative thing to say is that it is quite noisy, so you can't get away with

I've been using this juicer practically everyday for approx. 2 months and here is my feedback:

Pro's:
1. Juices very fast
2. Fits relatively large sizes of fruits and veggies
3. Produces acceptable amount of juice

Cons:
1. The juicer is rather large due to the waste basket attached to the back (which I feel is unusually large since mine has never filled up more than 1/4 of the way even while juicing for 2 people.

After searching through all the reviews and prices on about 8 machines, I selected this juicer. I received it very quickly as with all items ordered from AMAZON.com.

I bought this juice extractor a month ago and have been using it every day since then. Carrot extraction is the best with the residual pulp that feels like paper mesh. The plastic parts are easy to clean but under the rim cleaning the sieve housing needs attention. I haven't seen any stains form so far ( I clean immediately after the job is done). The Stainless steel sieve cleans easy with a few drops of dish detergent. I am using it also for Pineapple, apple, celery and beet extraction. You can't get

I waited several months to provide this review to see how I would use it so I could be as fair as possible. I really want to like this juicer but it has been difficult. Some types of fruits just don't juice very well so I think you are limited to only the hard fruits. Some of the reviews say to re-use the pulp, but that is VERY messy and also doesn't result in much more juice.

I recently purchased this juicer based mostly on the reviews here on Amazon. The day I bought it I also read the May 2010 issue of Consumer Reports. This juicer was picked number two, behind the Juiceman Juicer. The Juiceman is about $100 higher in price. This Hamilton Beach got the Consumer Reports Best Buy! I've used it a couple of times and it's very quick to juice anything. I find the cleanup fairly easy.

This is the second Hamilton Beach I've owned. The first one, a 600 series, had a dial switch, was noisy, and had a poorly design interface between the juice strainer basket and power wheel. The 650 series unit is a significant improvement in all these areas. It also comes with a large juice cup and brush, small but nice additions. It's a great juicer.

I bought mine in December 2007. Shortly after the warranty expired, one of the retaining straps failed. I managed to fix it myself, although, it does not hold the lid on as tight as it did when new. I contacted Hamilton Beach and all they offered was to sell me a brand new one since this was out of warranty. I can't imagine why a single strap cannot be replaced - it's a separate part and easily comes out. Up to this point, I only used it once per week so needless to say, I was disappointed with the quality.
I decided to get into juicing for the health aspect. This is my first juicer so I will just tell you what I liked and disliked. You cannot put in large whole fruits. In fact, the average sized apple or tomato was easily lodged in the mouth. I always cut up my fruits/veges so it's really not an issue - but is misleading. Not sure if it's because of the broken strap, but the top leaks for high liquid items such as tomatoes or grapes. It can make a real mess. The motor is strong but does "bog" down when you need to push an item through. Whole apples are particularly difficult but nothing major. Overall, it juices and I like it. I think my greatest dissatisfaction is the broken strap. If it weren't for that, I think I'd give it a 4 or 4.5.

It's pretty good. We've had it for a few months now. It's still working great and is easy to clean. Its just a nuisance to clean it every time. Its been used almost daily with no problems, so its fairly durable. My mom's happy with it.
