Hurom Multipurpose Slow Speed Masticating Juicer

Research says:

The Hurom HU-100 combines the health benefits associated with the Low Speed Single Auger masticating style juicer and the compactness of the upright style juicer. This unique new design is a whole new concept in the juicing marketplace. The Hurom can juice a broad spectrum of fruits and vegetables including wheatgrass and other leafy greens. This slow 80 RPM juicer has a countertop footprint much smaller than most Single Auger and Twin Gear electric juicers. Because of the upright design, cleaning between various fruits and vegetables is a snap; simply pour water through the juicer and begin juicing a new item. The Hurom can also produce puree, nut butters, soy milk, humus and many other items. This is a very versatile, easy to use juicer.

The Benefits of the Hurom Slow Juicer

  • Low Speed Technology System (LSTS) - The world's first patented juicer utilizing the LSTS method. It is a complete departure from the standard masticating method. The LSTS method allows the Slow Juicer to extract the maximum amount of nutrients, vitamins, taste and juice from a minimum amount of fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, wheatgrass & even soybeans!
  • Dual Stage Juicing - juice is extracted during the crushing stage and before the pulp is ejected. The pulp is then squeezed during the second pressing stage; resulting in more juice, and extremely dry pulp.
  • Higher yields - in-house testing found the Hurom Slow Juicer yielded 50% more juice than a centrifuge juicer in half of the time.
  • Better Juice - Enjoy more antioxidants, better flavor and superior freshness of your juice. Less frothing or foaming, and reduced separation that occurs with some other juicers.
  • Self Cleaning - Simply pour water through to self clean the juicer when changing to another fruit, vegetable or leafy green.

After 6 months of daily use my strainer broke. That is one glass a day, if I could get a spare strainer I would give it 4 stars. Now I am unable t get spare parts. My investment is worthless. I will have to buy another juicer. So this is not a recommended product.

I would consider myself somewhat of an "intermediate juicer". I previously owned a nice Breville centrifugal juicer and was disappointed by the extremely wet pulp and minimal juice, the noise, and the complicated parts to clean. The first time I used my new Hurom juicer, I was so amazed at how much juice I got and how dry the pulp was. Keep in mind that if you like to do juice fasts like myself that the juice comes out with some pulp still remaining so I would recommend also purchasing some nut milk bags

I bought the Hurom to replace a centrifugal juicer because I wanted to produce juice that had maximum nutrients and longer shelf life. The Hurom will keep your juice fresh in a fridge for up to 48 hours before it deteriorates. The Hurom works well and takes up hardly any bench space which is a big plus. The pulp that comes out is as dry as can be so you certainly get all the juice from your produce. It is also a lot quieter than the centrifugal juicers.

The Hurom slow juicer is not as good as advertised, it has many flaws
1-clogs up when juiceing fiberous greens such as kale, celery, collards, pineapple, heats up the juice when the discharge starts to clog.
2-has very pulpy juice, when the pulp is strained the yield is low.
3-leaks.
4-not very powerful constantly jamming.
5-very cheaply made not very sturdy.
I would not recoommend the Hurom slow juicer for anyone wanting to juice vegetables I would recommend the Breville ju

I've had the juicer for about 6 months now and at first it worked great. I've owned every juicer there is from Champions to Green Star's and the Huron was (is) the latest greatest thing so I thought I'd get one based upon the self feeding feature which would save my arm from wearing out from having to jam the produce down in every morning. I got the juicer in April of 2010 and it's now September. At first all worked great but after time the machine started to slow and it's flaws began to show. I won't get i

I have been juicing for years, always in search for the ultimate juicer. Anyone who juices a lot looks for one that is easy to clean. Sooooo I thought the Hurom offered some innovation based on the YouTube Video's, self-cleaning and good for hard and soft stuff. It is easy to put together but self cleaning it is not. A key component is a stopper that is very easy to loose and is not covered in the warranty. I am going on my third and shipping takes 3 weeks. It also has a problem with hard foods like carrots

Like a dummy, I bought two of these juicers one for myself and the other for my sister who had cancer, She has passed since. I've had this juicer for about four months and juice daily. When juicing it thick juice coming out of the chute. You get more pulp then juice with the Hurom, I truly want my money back does anyone know how to go about it? So, now I have TWO useless pieces of junk sitting on my kitchen counter with a 10 year warranty but no way to get service. Please, Please don't buy this juicer

My Hurom Slow Juicer arrived yesterday and I am super-impressed with it.

I was concerned, however, about some recent reviewers who said that they couldn't get Hurom customer support on the phone or via email, and that the product had been sold to a different company, Roland.

So I called the "Office" phone number on the Hurom warranty sheet to see if I got the runaround, an endless loop of phone menu options, or someone rude, etc. My plan, if I couldn't reach anyone, was to then

I've had this juicer for about seven months and juice daily as a treatment for cancer. When all the parts are new, it works beautifully. However, in that time I've had to replace the strainer eight times, the bowl twice and the gear twice. All of this appears to be due to the poor construction of the strainer. The plastic parts of the strainer crack and break easily, sometimes causing further damage to the bowl and gear. An all metal strainer could have solved this problem.

I have had this juicer for one month and I juice vegetables every morning for my breakfast. I am completely dissatisfied with this product.
1. Items such as sprouts, parsley, kale and chard get wound around the auger and just keep going around and around without extracting the juice and I end up with an auger full of pulp that never exits out of the basket area.
2. The juice leaks between the unit base and piece that houses the basket and the auger.
3. The juice is full of pulp.

We purchased the Hurom in January 2010 because we preferred an upright juicer for our small kitchen. Since then, the Hurom has been a constant source of stress and disappointment. In seven months, we have gone through 8 strainer baskets, 2 bowls and 2 gears. While the company sends replacement parts using overnight mail, we are tired of ordering replacement parts and waiting for them to arrive. We asked the company to send multiple strainers since they break so often--they refused. The company acts as

With the exception of one instruction being misunderstood, this machine is way more than we expected. What fun! Black raspberry jelly! We've talked about making small batches of fruit wine! We bought this machine on a lark, as a present, and what a reward!
The instructions for the plug that disables the pulp discharge is what my wife misunderstood. With a little help, we now understand and easily opt for pulp or not!
Get one! (The price is good, too.)

I bought this juicer from Amazon last November and used it almost everyday with fruits and vegetable such as apple, carrot, spinach, orange, kale. etc. I really enjoyed it until it recently started making a really loud grinding noise from the motor part. The unit itself makes a little grinding noise which you can see from the company's videos. I'm not complaining the sound in a regular and normal range. When I put mussy or watery fruit such as orange, it works OK for a while, but with regular fruit such as
