Research says:

A welcome addition to any healthy kitchen, this fruit-and-vegetable electric juicer produces fresh juice quickly and easily. Simply place a glass or small pitcher under the spout; insert whole apples, pears, cucumbers, or other produce into the extra-large round chute; then gently and slowly press down on the food pusher. The unit's powerful 3,600 RPM motor and stainless-steel blade deliver delicious, all-natural juice in seconds--a nice alternative to store-bought varieties that often come laden with artificial sugar and preservatives. The unit's patented extraction technology protects vital nutrients and living enzymes, plus provides up to 30-percent more juice than other juicers, while its stainless-steel mesh filter ensures only pure juice gets dispensed into the glass. Pulp gets spun towards the back of the unit, collecting in an extra-large pulp catcher for easy disposal or composting, or, better yet, for flavoring cookies, soups, salsa, cakes, and more. Other highlights include whisper-quiet operation, a unique non-drip spout, and dishwasher-safe parts for quick cleanup. Attractively housed in brushed stainless steel, the electric juicer measures approximately 18 by 12 by 17 inches and carries a limited lifetime motor warranty.

Pros:
Very quiet
No chunks in the juice, ever

Cons:
Takes a long time to clean, but I look at it as if it is part of the time required to make a meal.
The biggest con is that it can become expensive to run. If you use it everyday, the cost of fruits and veggies can add up. I am in a food co-op and it makes it much cheaper however.

My tip is to cut down the pieces before putting them in the chute. I but up apples, oranges, carrots, cucumber and put it in a

This model is so much better than the less expensive model. It's quiet and all the parts are stainless steel. It also extracts more of the juice. Thanks, Jack! Keep up the good work.

Pros:
Very Quiet
Takes whole fruits

Cons:
Doesn't really juice leafy greens or veggies that well
Wastes tons of fruit, requires a lot of fruit for small amounts of juice
A pain to clean

I am returning this and opting for a decent blender

My mom and I love the jack Lalanne juicer. We have had 3 different models and this last one is the most complete model. Does run very smoothly compared to out other juicers that weren the Pro Stainless. We have yet to do soy or rice milk with it, but I don't expect any problems.
Came in, in great shape!! Love to use it every morning!!

I bought the juicer...darn...I am so angry I cant even type. Okay, wait...the negative reviews of this juicer is very true. I bought my juicer so happy and proud to juice. The apples got stuck, juice runs out and falls all over the place. Its not continuous because when that happens you have to open it all up. They dont tell you that you have to unscrew the base supporting the mesh. If you lost that apparatus you 're screwed. They dont tell you the thing actually shocks you. Heaven forbid they tell y

I have been using a much older modle Jack Lalanne Juicer for 4 years. I used it constantly and heavily. A plastic part finally broke recently. I immediately ordered the new upgraded all stainless steel version. It is fantastic!! It is cleaner running, much easier to clean up after and the tilt up spout makes it drip proof! I am using it every day for delisious fresh juice. I couldn't be happier! And I bought it on Amazon!

I haven't owned that many juicers but compared to my old one(sorry but cannot remember the name brand at this time) this one is way, way, way better. The Jack Lalanne PJP Power Pro Stainless-Steel Electric Juicer juicing just about any fruit and vegetable you can think of. And when it juices it juices really fast and surprisingly pretty quiet too. I was also jumping up for joy when I saw how much juice came from my fruit. This juicer is definitely worth the money so far. Oh and it's also very easy to clean

I searched all over the internet for the best juicer for the best price. After studying all the reviews, I bought a Jack LaLanne PJP Power Juicer Pro about a month ago. I couldn't be happier! I use it twice a day--I make a green drink every morning and fruit juice smoothie every evening--and I love it. It is totally worth the money, is very easy to use, and easy to clean. For those people who are worried about how much clean up time is required (like I was), don't be; it only takes a few minutes. I reco

I PURCHASED THE JACK LALANNE POWER JUICER CLASSIC, USED IT ABOUT 10 TIMES. MOTOR STARTED SMELLING THAN STOPPED, YES..... I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS .
NOW I HAVE TO PAY TO SHIP IT TO TRISTAR AND I AM TO ENCLOSE $29.99 FOR THEM TO SHIP IT BACK TO ME. WHEN I ORDERED THE JUICER BY TELEPHONE THE OPERATOR WANTED TO KNOW IF I WANTED A RECONDITIONED ONE FOR HALF PRICE. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY FIRST RED FLAG.
DO I REALLY WANT TO INVEST AN ADDITIONAL $60 AND TAKE THE CHANCE THAT I MIGHT HAVE TO GO

We finally come to a decision, my wife and I, to invest on ourselves, our future, our health. This machine changes our daily routine and the results are stunning. It is very easy to used, almost self clean and the best part is quite when it's running. Our goal is achieved, no more excuses, and no more dilates. Thank you Jack Lalanne and, thank you Amazon for the great price you offered.

I've had my juicer for about 6-8 months and love it! We mostly prefer the fruit drinks over the veggies. I will throw in a carrot or celery at times. The ONLY problems I had with the machine was when I tried to juice a peach...major mess. Checked my owners manual and sure enough peach was one listed that would clog the mesh if you tried to juice it (bananas and mangos too). The other problem was the spout, it would splatter as the juice came out. All I did was put a piece of duct tape over the top...problem

This is my 4th juicer. I had to go on a trip so couldn't use it right away. I finally got a chance to wash it today. The book says that you can wash it in the top of your dishwasher so I did and the paint came off the pusher and the receptacle and looks terrible. I haven't even used it yet. If you buy it, I bought the more expensive Stainless Steel which the base is plastic, do NOT WASH THE RECEPTACLE OR PUSHER IN THE DISHWASHER. The bleach in the dishwashing detergent spots it so it looks terrible.

I love my Jack Lalanne Power Juicer. I have juiced many types of fruits and vegetables including spinach, broccoli. It is a breeze to take apart and I love the fact that everything except the motor is dishwasher safe. If you are looking for an easy way to incorporate fruits and vegetables into your diet, I recommend juicing.

p.s. I loved purchasing my juicer on Amazon because I paid no sales tax!

Works well, I like the fact that it shoots out the extract which allows you juice longer or more cups of juices. I had a juicer before that keeps the extract inside the strainer so you can make a cup and half then have to clean out before you can run it again.
Not that difficult to clean as I had originally thought. The key is cleaning, just rinsing it with water, right after you juice. And obviously, the juice is great... nothing tastes like fresh juice.
A couple of minor things that I would like improvement on: the top cover. The one I bought is the Juicer Pro Stainless Steel, but the top is kinna flimsy to me. I wish it's made of a thicker aluminum material so it's more study. The one I have can be twisted out of shape easily. The other is the vibration... I wish there's less of it. A part from these minor things, I like this juicer... no major complaints.

I have seen multiple bad reviews on this product, and they are all on the same issue. The unit bogs down. Now, I have used the 4 gallon commercial juicers (sunkist brand, champion brand and warring brand) and this product. IF maintained and used as it was directed it will produce a better quality juice than the machines I used for my work. The main thing is what you add to the unit. If you use a sweet potatoes and hard gummy pulpy items you will have to watch the filter and feed it slowly and pay attention. You cannot expect the product to run well if you jam items into it and crush it in. When the pulp starts having more juice in it, turn the unit off, remove filter clean it and replace. Simple! I love it. I precut just for an easier juicing and it does help. Please dont let people who cant read the manual dissuade you from a great juicer. Remember maint. is the key to this product!

This one purchase, of any before, has been a life changing diet tool. We have tried so many and they might work for a little while or not at all. We work hard, have no time, horrendous eating habits because of our work schedule. Sound familiar ? Well this product not only fixed all that, it also helped my husband to try it and like the results so much, he really doesn't want to go a day without the juice. I don't wish to sound like a paid commercial. This product is fantastic and we will continue on using it for the rest of our lives. Thank you.

First let me say that this is my first juicer so I have nothing to compare it to. I bought it on a whim, and then went to Amazon to check the reviews for it. I was very concerned, because of all the negative reviews. I would have taken it back before trying it, but I had already bought a bunch of fruit so I decided to give it a try to see for myself.

It was easy to set up out of the box and my first juicing experience was great! When I first turned it on it didn't start. I looked at the troubleshooting guide that it came with and realized that I didn't have the safety bar all the way up. I fixed this and it started up right away. I was surprised at how quiet it was. I put in pineapple, carrots, strawberries, apples, celery and oranges. It seemed to juice everything with ease. It did clog one time, but it was an easy fix. I was pleased at how delicious the juice taseted!

Clean up was also super easy. For those that say that the spout is too low to fit a glass under I agree. I just put the juicer near the end of the counter and kept the spout up while juicing. Once I was done I lowered the spout and filled up my glass.

Overall it worked great and I am happy with it after my initial use. I plan to use it once a day. If I encounter the problems that are in other reviews I will update my review.

I gave it 4 stars instead of five, because it did clog once.

Before I start my review, I thought I'd point out how the reviews here for the product are either great or horrible. Nothing in the middle, which is very strange. I almost wonder if some folks are mistakely thinking of another product.

I've been using this product almost daily for about 2 or 3 months now, and it has always done a great job. It's designed well for easy assembly and disassembly, and cleaning.

The only reason this product might not work well is if the owners don't take care of it. There's nothing difficult about using and maintaining this product, but neglect might easily ruin it.

The only concern area might be the blade, which on mine is almost at the point of wanting to replace. I'm not sure yet how easy it might be to get a replacement, and/or how much it might cost.

The juicer is great! It's so easy to use and easy to disassemble for cleaning. It juices very fast; from the time that I put a fruit or vegetable in the top juice is instantly pouring from the spout. It's surprisingly quiet and the cleanup is easy. I put a plastic bag in the pulp collecting tray, so I just empty the bag and rinse the rest of the parts when I'm done.

I can't find any flaws with this model. I love it and my kids enjoy using it too.

The first time I ran the juicer, I made sweet potato, carrot, apple juice. It was delicious, and the pulp was pretty dry. The juicer didn't bog down, and it worked great! 20 minutes later, I wanted another cup of juice. So, I started out with the sweet potato again. It bogged down and stopped after an inch into the sweet potato. So, I let it sit for a while. I turned it on without adding anything for 10 seconds, and it winded down to a stop again. So, I left it over night. It started up fine the next morning. I thought, I'll just start out with some apples. It barely juiced a 3rd of the apple before it bogged down and died again. So, I'm washing it and returning it. This is ridiculous. I'm going to try this juicer next. It had great reviews, and is only about $25 more. I don't usually write reviews but I was so peeved about this product being so worthless that I had to say something!
Why this thing sucks:
Wastes much more of the fruits and vegetables than it juices. This answered our question of why the "waste container" is like 100x bigger than the juice spout.
It's loud
Spits the juice out - we had to place it by the sink so it wouldn't create such a mess
You can only fit maybe an 8 ounce glass under the spout which means you'll have to either stop juicing every 8 ounces or switch glasses out really fast
You have to add one piece of fruit or vegetables at a time meaning, you won't have a mixed drink at all - you'll have to do that part yourself.
The motor is NOT great - I only used it one time and it struggled to blend apples

I still just can't get over how much food is wasted. I thought the point of this machine was to save money. Literally handfulls of fruits and vegetables ended up in the "waste container" of this machine - it's disgusting!

This product is awful. It overheats constantly. It's not meant for dark leafy greens. I know that leafy greens are better juiced with a manual, one blade machine, but I bought a $59 juicer that really does the trick (so I was disappointed when this more expensive machine couldn't do the job). I even got a scrub brush and pitcher with the cheaper juicer. With this one, I got nada. Don't waste your money unless you're interesd in doing mainly fruit juices. In fact, if you've ever seen the tv promo for this, they basically just use it for fruit (hint, hint).

This is a great product! I have not had a juicer before, but this does an excellent job of juicing fruit and vegetables. The mouth of the juicer is large enough to accept most fruits and vegetables. Large apples will require splitting. The stainless steel design makes it very durable and easy to clean. I am very pleased with this product!

However, it is a little tedious to take apart for cleaning.

This juicer stopped working after 2 weeks - the power switch broke. Check the manufacturer's website - they want you to ship the unit back at your expense, AND include a check for $30 for their return shipping! Outrageous - You are out another $60 or so just to ship it back for repair. I definitely would not buy any product from these people again.

I purchased this juicer after watching an infomercial on it. After using it to juice vegetables as well as fruit, I will be returning it to the store for several reasons:
1) The remaining pulp is quite damp which means the juicer is not extracting all of the juice.
2) Does not juice spinach well at all. When I look at the discarded spinach, there are still whole leaves in the pulp container.
3) The juices foam quite alot. When I juice something simple like carrot-apple-ginger, the juice separates within minutes and never really stirs back together.
4) The pour spout: why is there a hole at the back of it? This created a complete mess on one of my attempts to juice as the juice ram down the hole instead of down the spout into my container.
5) The placement of the pour spout: The spout is so close to the counter that I cannot put a cup underneath it. I instead need to put a bowl and then pour the juice from the bowl into my drinking glass. This makes it very cumbersome and time consuming to produce a simple 12-16 oz cocktail.
6) During cleanup, I really hate throwing away all of the pulp since it looks like it has so many nutrients left in it.

Pitty, Jack! You can do better than this!

I saw the Ad on TV for this Juicer and decided to buy one. I looked on Ebay and found one at half price and listed as new. Bid on it and won. The day it arrived I had some aplles and blue berries and carrots ... What a tasty drink I made and was pleased .Til I started to do the cleaning ..I found the pulp sticks in the discharge chute . This was OK but when I lifted the recepical off the base and saw all the pulp on the edge and dripping down the side I decided this is not right.. being the innervator that I am. I thought there should be a seal there . I purchased an seven and three quarter "O RING" and now the base is sealed from the recepical and no more leaks of juice and pulp.. The MANF needs to add a seal to that area.. and then the machine I think would be better
Other then that I'm happy with the Jack LaLanne juicer

This juicer is one of the worst juicers I've ever used. Don't be fooled by the claims made during the infomercial. This juicer barely has the ability to shred the produce fed into it, much less efficiently extract the any juice from the pulp. Worst of all, it is actually dangerous to use. It all comes down to poor design.

The primary flaw with this juicer is that the feed tube directs its contents into the center of the shredding blade where it spins the slowest. To make matters worse, the teeth at the center of the shredding blade are arranged in the same circular path. This tooth arrangement fails to generate any shredding action between the blades, and only grinds circular groves in the produce. Thus, the produce tends feed very slowly, or actually stalls in the grind tube. This slowed feeding action also seems to cause the centrifuge basket to slow down, and clog up. I'm not exactly sure why this happens, but I suspect it may have something to do with the produce binding between the bottom edge of the feed tube and the center of the shredding blade. Obviously, once the centrifuge basket gets clogged, less juice is extracted, the pulp is wetter, and more juice ends up in the pulp receptacle.

The second flaw is that the pulp is only discharged into the pulp receptacle from one side of the shredding /centrifuge chamber. This tends to cause the pulp to linger in the centrifuge basket, and compounds the clogging problem. Once the centrifuge basket gets clogged, the pulp begins to stick to the inside of the shredding /centrifuge chamber, and eventually seems to make its way into the juice catch basin.

The third flaw is that juice catch basin is flat on the bottom, and does not drain well. Pulp particles in the juice tend to settle on the bottom the juice catch basin, and eventually may stop the juice from draining. When this occurs, juice will flow over the inside lip of the juice catch basin, and stream down the motor housing. Wait; it gets worse! Since the motor's cooling vents are on the sides of the motor housing directly below the juice catch basin, juice escaping from the juice catch basin tends to flow into the motor housing through the cooling vents creating an electrical hazard.

Not flaws, but worth mentioning:
When the juice catch basin is installed, and the shredding blade spun onto the drive shaft before the centrifuge basket is installed, it will be very difficult to uninstall the shredding blade because there is no way to stop the drive shaft from rotating.

Since the feed tube is located in close proximity to the drain spout & juice cup, small produce items sometimes fall into the juice cup during the juicing process.

A little about the company, Powerjuicer.com:

If purchasing directly from Powerjuicer.com, they will try to convince you to buy the accessories. Take my word for it; the accessories are not worth the money! Furthermore, the accessories package may be charged as a separate purchase. Therefore, if one of the purchases are placed on backorder, it may not arrive until the money back guarantee on the other one expires. Either way, you may be stuck with one of the purchases, if you decide to send the other one back.

Buyer Beware!

I have been juicing for years with a few different cheap brand names. They were ok but very difficult to clean and very loud. I like to make my juice early in the morning before I go to the gym and it would sometimes wake up my neighbors if I did it too early. Many times I had to juice after the gym because it was so loud. The first thing that I noticed with the Power Juicer Pro is that it is super quite. Secondly it is pretty easy to clean. Thirdly, the machine is just beautiful. And lastly, the juice is much finer and cleaner than juice made from much cheaper machines. If you are serious into juicing and you do it everyday this is the machine to get. If you juice once in awhile you might want to get the cheaper Jack Lalanne plastic models. But beware that the plastic juicers are harder to clean and often get stained by the carrots. I hope that this review will be helpful to some. Happy juicing!!!
