I researched juicers before I purchased this one. I was afraid of spending a lot of money on the juicer. What if I ended up not liking it or not liking the vegetable juices. After reading the reviews and doing my own research by checking out various library books, I decided to take the plunge. The juicer has met all my expectations. I absolutely LOVE it. It did take me about one week, to get used to the taste of the vegetable juices. I juice in the morning and at night. I buy organic vegetables and

It's quiter than I expected it. I mainly juice, carrots, beets, apples, celery, leafy greens, wheatgrass, cuccumber. I don't juice too much fruit. It took me about six months to search for a juicer, and I settled on the Omega juicer. I read various reviews and collectively it appeared that this juicer had more positives than negatives when compared to the other juicers. Now having this juicer for close to four months, I was able to evaluate it for various types of products. I am not very satisfied; it is subpar. If I have to do it again I would not purchase this item. You will find the strainer does not separate the liquid from the pulp very well

This is probably the best juicer for price out there. Slow speed to preserve the enzymes and taste... well built... Should last for many years. I bought it used from this person and it was in excellent shape as reported. Not a problem so far. I saved some money buying it used and hope to enjoy it for a long while. If you were wondering about juicing carrots, this machine does them just fine. The thicker carrots are more difficult and it's better to split the bigger lengthwise and then feed them in. W

I bought this juicer after reading several reviews. Omega J8003 is my first masticating juicer. I love that I don't have to worry about the pulp mixed up with the juice. It juices almost all fruits and vegetables. However, time is the biggest problem. It works very slowly; unless it is given time to crash and juice the fruit/vegi, it will send the pulp with the juice. I didn't enjoy smooth and pulp free juice until I realized that it was supper slow in masticating each slice. Even though I read that one of

But, I never got to even try it out. After washing all the parts, reading the instructions, putting it together, plugging it in? It was completely dead, it had no power at all. Evidently this Omega J8003 was defective. From all the reviews, I am sure I would have loved it. Instead, I shipped it back for a refund and purchased the Samson 9001 Single-Gear Juicer and even before I washed it, I checked to see if it would power-up, it did and I am really happy with it.

This juicer is great! I was afraid that I might not use it enough to justify the purchase, but have grown fond of apple/celery/carrot/fresh ginger combinations. Makes great frozen desserts if you dice fresh fruit, toss with a little sugar (or fructose), freeze and run the mixture through to puree (peaches are especially good). The only problem I had was making pasta - but the problem was not with the equipment, only with the recipe in the juicer's cookbook. If you make pasta, use the recipe from the sem

Also, I find juice extraction is much more thorough - I was amazed to get over a cup of juice from 4 good sized carrots! THere is some preparation involved in cutting the vegetables and fruit down to size, but I don't find it that inconvenient. Cleaning the parts just involves throwing them in soapy water and rinsi

Other reviews I read comment on how slow the machine is...well that's because it's taken it's time to get all of the juice out. The easy cleanup makes up for the speed, which is not that slow. Another thing I realize is that the juicer is very portable, and it can go on road trips. The last convincing test was when I juiced berries in

It's fast and fairly easy to disassemble, and the pulp is dry. I believe that the Omega J8003 is one of the best investments I've made in a long time. So far I've juiced many pounds of celery, cilantro and carrots, and one tray of wheatgrass, plus many other fruits and vegetables. I have never had any problem with the machine, and I feel that I get a very good amount of juice with very little waste. Clean-up is quick and easy. I love the taste of the celery/cilantro/carrot juice and I make a little over a gallon a week for my wife and I. It takes a little over an hour to make a gallon, and this includes washing everything, cutting up the larger carrots so that they will pass through the juicer chute, and cleaning up. A gallon will last us almost a week. The juice is delicious, satisfying, and is a great source of energy. I feel certain that this juice will greatly improve our health over the course of time. We've been juicing for a little over a month, so we can't say that we have experienced any miraculous cures yet, but I can say that I have definitely noticed a change in how quickly my fingernails and hair are growing. I highly recommend this versatile and efficient juicer for anyone interested in making a modest investment of money and time to improve their diet and their health.

I have been using this juicer for about a month now and have really enjoyed it. I purchased this juicer based on the reviews here on Amazon and am very glad I went with this masticating-style model. What I find to be one of the most impressive qualities is that the pulp/waste comes out almost completely dry! I really feel like it is getting all the possible juice out of the fruits and vegetables.

The "mouth" is a little small and you do have to prep most of your food. I could see where this might be an issue if you were in a rush. If I know I am going to be a hurry, I make the juice ahead of time and store in a container in the refrigerator.

I will say, foods like strawberries and blueberries (that are in general less juicy) do clog up the screen a little. If I am using these, I will wait and juice them last or just add them to the juice in a blender (I don't mind the pulp texture).

Clean-up is a breeze! It comes with an over-sized toothbrush that does a great job cleaning out the screen. I would say it takes no longer than 60 seconds to clean all the pieces. It is also very easy to assemble.

Upgrading from a centrifical juicer, my only objective was for better quality juice. One that didn't turn green from oxidation minutes after juicing and didn't have that oxidized taste. Instead of having to drink it immediately after juicing I could even have some left over the next day, take to the office, etc. And it would taste more like Odwalla than that slightly bitter aftertaste I was used to.

I was trying to justify the extra bucks for the Hurom or Omega VRT, but I knew the wife would kill me since she's still barely getting over the Jack Lalaine I bought last year. But shopping on Amazon I saw the amazing reviews this juicer was getting (come on 90% 5 star and nothing under 4?).

After reading all the reviews my conclusion was that I'd be sacrificing somewhat the taste and quality of the juice and have much more work to do chopping up all the veggies first and then expending lots of effort pushing them all through if I went with the 8003. And another $120 wouldn't kill me (though my wife might) for all the extra convenience etc.

So I decided to buy the 8003 and exchange it for the VRT if I wasn't satisfied. Anyway, got it home tonight and thought about swinging by Target for a vegetable dicer but didn't make it (glad I didn't).

I read you have to cut carrots in quarters and finely chop everything. What?? I started quartering carrots until I realized there was plenty of room to put these large organic carrots in whole. I then juiced Kale no problem at all (big problem with my previous juicer), apples (ok had to quarter them - big whoop), topping some ginger and celery (whole stock obviously no probs).

The result was that the juicing process was more enjoyable and just a bit longer than with my centrifical. But the juice was almost shockingly tastier. You can actually taste how much healthier and more natural the juice is. I even forced my PO'd wifey to have a drink which she grudgingly agreed to do. Wasn't expecting much with all the strong taste of too much Kale with carrots, celery, etc. Kind of a hard core juicer kind of drink. She looked up after drinking it and said "This actually tastes really good". And that was the end of the arguments.

The build quality is fantastic, engineering brilliant, cleanup is even easier than the Jack Lalaine (which I thought was easy as it was). Bottom line? As most everyone says, this is an amazing deal and one of the most satisfying purchases I've made in a long time. As the other reviews attest - no buyers remorse here.

Update Edit:

After using this for a week multiple times a day it gets better and better. Here are a few more things that jump out at me about this juicer:

1) Can't say enough how fast and easy this is to clean and assemble. I don't care how good a juicer is, if it takes time or is tedious to clean and assemble you WON'T use it often - period.

2) This really IS a fast juicer to use. It juices EVERYTHING I throw at it without a hitch, and cleanup is fast. The 20 seconds I spend slicing veggies is insignificant in the total time of operation. It gets put together, juices and cleaned so fast that multiple times a day is simply not a chore - I even look forward to it.

3) The taste - the nutrition. Having my juice not oxidize and turn brown 30 seconds after juicing (like with my centrifigal) makes the taste so much better. And claims that the juice is healthier with enzymes intact, lack of oxidation etc can be easily felt. After drinking carrot/celery/broccoli juice in the morning I spend my 20 minute drive to work just marveling at the way my body feels.

1) Far quieter than centrifugal types. I can juice anytime without bothering or waking anyone
2) Easy cleanup. No basket strainer and multiple large parts to clean.
3) Strainer in my centrifugal needed multiple cleanings for one session. One half stalk of
broccoli would be enough to clog it up. This machine can go on forever - nothing to clog.

This juicer delivers, plain and simple. Its well built and has that commercial appliance feel. You WILL get what you pay for. I was wowed by its ability to juice greens and the dryness in the ejected pulp. Add to that, its is easy assemble/dissemble and cleans fast. If you're worried about the noise factor, put away those concerns. This thing sounds as "loud" as a cordless screw driver running low on batteries. Its as easy as it gets on the ears. Definitely happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone. With the 10 year warranty on all parts and labor, you know Omega takes pride in the quality of their products.

After extensive- and I mean extensive- research I narrowed down my juicer choices to the Omega 8003/8005 (exact same only color is different) and the Champion. While the champion seems perhaps more durable, it does not juice leafy greens very well and the Omega comes with a 10 year warranty so I'd call that pretty darn durable. I am hoping to start a raw food diet so a juicer was very important to me especially one that would be easy to use and clean on a daily basis and one that keep the most nutrients in the juice. I think I found it in the Omega. It's surprisingly quiet and smaller than I thought which is nice. The chute is smaller than some so some chopping will be necessary but not too much. I timed from me getting the fruits and veggies out of the fridge, cut and juiced into just under 15 minutes. Clean up took another about 5 or 10 minutes. And I was doing this at a very leisurely pace too. I am very happy to have purchased the Omega.

I have been juicing since buying an Acme and a Champion in the 70's (still have them!). I own over a dozen juicers in different types, and bought this Omega specifically for its leafy green capabilities. In a year-plus of ownership, and hundreds of uses, it has proven to be a great kitchen companion. It handles all the leafy greens very well, it is relatively quiet compared to centrifugals, and I certainly don't find it difficult to clean.

However, before buying a juicer of this type, I'd recommend the shopper analyze what they are going to want to juice. Though this Omega can certainly do carrots, apples, pears, etc., a good centrifugal can do it easier and with greater yield. However, they do a lousy job at best with the leafy greens that can provide so much living nutrition. As always, there is no one juicer that does great for all uses.

I bought this 8003 (I wanted white) before the 8006 with that new auger. I wouldn't have spent the extra money for that, anyway, it's not necessary. I say take that difference in price and apply it toward a good little centrifugal, like the Omega O2 or L'Equip Mini, and have optimal juicing no matter what your taste!

I just recently got into juicing and was using an old Cuisinart centrifugal juicer but greens and tomatoes didn't process well, cleanup was a pain and the ejected pulp was moist, I figured if I was going to be juicing for my health then I had better get me a juicer that was going to be easy to use and easier to clean and processed everything well, did my research and found the Omega J8003 to have some of the highest user ratings here on Amazon. Just got my Omega J8003 yesterday so I cleaned it and got it ready to use this morning, turned it on and was amazed as to how quiet it is, it definitely juices better than my old one, takes about the same amount of time to juice but cleanup time is reduced, walking the produce aisle in the supermarket will never be the same again. I love the Omega Juicer. I just wish it had a larger opening for the product. You should definitely gather all of your ingredients, wash them and cut them before beginning the process. As the book suggests it should not be run longer than 30 minutes at a time. With everything being pre-prepared beforehand it makes the process move through much easier. The juicer does a fantastic job at masticating and waste is at an absolute minimum. The price is also very reasonable. I read reviews for several other products that claimed to do similar things and this one had better reviews by people who used the product. Reading reviews from folks that have already purchased and used products makes much better sense, as they know first hand. Also clean up is easy, just do it right after you finish processing. Like dirty dishes, if you wait and allow things to dry up and cling, it makes it more difficult to clean. If you do it right away, it's a breeze.

I just got this juicer after having only used centrifugal juicers. Actually did own a champion years ago, that I'd almost forgotten about. This does a better job if you are considering one of those and the construction is equivalent. I did a fair amount of reading and made my purchase based partly on price. After having used it several times to juice carrots/apples/cabbage, I can say it does a fair job. Cleanup is quite easy (easier than the screen on centrifugal). Issues - juice volume is not what I expected. There are longer auger juicers that reviews indicated did a better job (just they were another $50). I considered the vertical auger (omega 330 and hurom) and now wish I'd spent more for them. My biggest complaint about this is the small chute (although typical for these - green star/samson/and omega all seem to have a 1.5x1.5 chute). The small chute means ALOT of chopping ahead of time. The hurom/omega 330 has a larger chute hence the wish to have spent more and gotten one of them (btw - they are same, as you'd find if you research). So in summary - easy to clean - easy to assemble and understand - feeding chute too small - volume of juice could be better - construction quality looks good.

We had 2 different centrifugal type juicers in the past. I wore them out and the blade on the 2nd one was dull in no time at all. This juicer gets pulp drier. It doesn't waste greens and even small ones like parsley and cilantro like the old juicers did. It is great on anything we've tried: apples, pears, citrus (gotta take most of the peal off), grapes, celery, asparagus, broccoli, kale, spinach, herbs, ginger and more.
The one draw back you might have is that all your items want to be cut smaller and fed thru the tube on top of machine. The machine is said to be slower but my overall juicing time seems to be similar, maybe because clean up is quicker?
I also do not use the pulp screen (over the juice container) which sometimes would make the juice container overflow because the screen was clogged.
My daughter and I have been using the machine over a month now and are still psyched about it's performance.

Anyone owning a centrifugal juicer and wanting to change to a masticating juicer look no further. This is the one for you! If you are looking into juicing for the first time this juicer will be your best first pick. Don't bother even looking at the centrifugal juicers. The J8003 is the answer.
I couldn't wait to throw away my old juicer. The Omega is quiet. And the best part; clean up is simple and fast.
Tired of cleaning the big basket with BLADES on the old kind? No blades here, just a little 3/4 inch screen and Omega includes a nice brush to help clean it. It takes about 20 seconds to clean the screen. No more mess.

I primarily use mine for veggies. I juice every morning. It makes lots of juice and the pulp is extremely dry and just falls out the end slowly into the holding cup, not flying a hundred miles an hour like the centrifugal type! The juice pours down into its own cup and the included sieve accessory can be put on top of the cup for added filtration. I like that. The Omega uses an auger to chop the food, it almost sounds as if it's munching on the veggies. No more jet engine sounds like the old centrifugal!
The feed tube of the Omega is smaller than some, 1-1/2 inches, meaning you must cut big veggies to fit. (tomatoes, beets) This is NOT an issue for me.

The whole juicer end easily removes in one unit. Bring it right to the sink and rinse it off and disassemble. There is a total of 5 parts, the body, the auger, the screen/juicer assembly, the end cap and the holding tray that sits on top. All can be rinsed off under the faucet in just a few minutes.
Believe me, I juice beets and clean up is a breeze with this machine! With the old centrifugal machine my kitchen looked like a crime scene!

At first glance out of the box the Omega J003 feels strong. The motor compartment has a huge motor that moves the auger slowly, but with strength. Nothing heats up. It reminds me of the old days when everything was built like a tank. This one is.
Each and every plastic part that makes up the juicer end is built tough, you can feel it in the weight of each part, you can feel it in the way the parts fit together. No shortcuts here. It's quality all the way.

The Omega J8003 also comes with a separate unit that turns the juicer into a grinder, homogenizer, spaghetti maker, and a breadstick maker.

The Omega J8003 is worth every penny. 5 stars from me. I'd give it 6 if I could.

I did a lot of research before settling on this juicer. I have experience with the centrifugal machines, so I knew the limitations of that style: frothy, slightly warmed juice, plus lots of noise. However, if you're looking for high speed, high volume, and general ingredient flexibility, I would look at the centrifugal Breville juicers instead of this masticating Omega. Also, if you want to juice all, or mostly, fruit this juicer is not for you.

Here's what's great about the J8003: low noise, juices leafy greens with ease, wrings the most possible juice out of the ingredients, easy to clean. While it takes a bit of effort to fit veggies down the tube, it's well worth any trouble. [I'm guessing that the size of the tube has to be in proportion to the size of the auger which is in proportion to motor's power]. After a few runs, you'll figure out how to cut produce just right - it really isn't that much extra work. The other step needed for a smooth juicing session is to alternate the ingredients - some people complained about the auger getting bogged down. Simply alternate dense veggies like carrots & beets with your leafy green, and then softer fruits. The three different textures help move pulp and juice though the machine very efficiently.

My only minor complaint is that the juice receptacle is on the smaller side (about 800ml or 27oz). If you're into serious juicing for the whole family or "juice feasting" , you'll probably find this isn't enough. Otherwise, awesome machine.

Have had for almost a month now and am using it 3-4 times per week. Spent hours reviewing products and finally decided this was the best. It is a great juicer, pulp comes out dry. I save pulp and make carrot bread type bread. Yummy, too. I like the fact that it is a masticating juicer. More healthy. Have not tried any attachments yet. Very easy to clean, too, and carrots and beets have not stained the white blade. I put a glass under the juice hole instead of the screened holder. Simple.

Delivery was very fast. Ordered on Friday, making juice on Tuesday afternoon.

With all that said, I have never had a juicer before so have nothing to compare it to. My 5 yr old thinks the Jack LaLane juicer looks fun cause you can put whole fruits/vegys unpeeled. Not sure I'd want to make bread with pulp that had pineapple rind.

The slower rpm leaves the juice that's extracted (from the vegs that I just took out of the refrigerator) cold. That makes the juice more refreshing.

I purchased this juicer after doing a ton of research and have nothing but great things to say. The juice is delicious and the pulp is very dry. The juicer comes apart very quickly and is incredibly easy to clean and put back together. I've heard some complaints about the chute being narrow and about having to cut veggies into smaller pieces. Big deal. If you don't have an extra five minutes to cut up some food than you must be the busiest person on the planet. I've seen a few videos on the net and it looks like the juicer is loud and that you need to push down hard to get the auger to masticate the veggies. Well my juicer is very quiet and I barely have to push down to get the auger to grab and crush the veggies. I also made some banana ice cream the other night that was very tasty. I would spend the extra money to purchase this juicer again because it is a quality product.

It juiced it, no problem. I'm not a V8 lover so I thought that I would have to acquire the taste of vegetable juice. But the juice was so good, I don't believe I'll have that problem at all! It's not too big an appliance for my small kitchen either. Now, if it lasts, I think I've found the perfect juicer! It came with a 10 year warranty though, so I'm covered. :)

I love this juicer. In the past I owned a Breville juicer which was very difficult to assemble and dis-assemble for cleaning. When I ordered a replacement part for my Breville (which was dented while trying to get it apart to clean) I never received it. Neither did the company ever respond to my inquiries. The Omega juicer is easy to put together, easy to use, and easy to clean. I also like the fact that, as a masticating rather than a centrifugal juicer, there is little foam. I really disliked the foam that the Breville created. Due to its ease in use and the great-tasting juice it makes, I use my Omega much more frequently than I did my Breville. This is one juicer that doesn't get stored away.

I wanted to get into juicing so I started researching juicers on Amazon. I originally bought the Breville BJE200XL. This juicer is very popular on this site and received good reviews. I beg to differ. It was cumbersome, difficult to clean, and the juice didn't taste very good. I immediately returned this juicer and did more research. In my opinion, if you're serious about juicing I would highly recommend the Omega 8003. It's quiet, easy to clean, and produces great tasting, high quality juice. It's worth every penny and i'll never make the mistake of buying a centrifugal juicer again.

I have had the Omega 8003 for over 6 months and my family loves it! We juice all kinds of fruits and vegetables several times a week. I'm thrilled with how easy it is to use and care for. Additional testimony to this is that my husband and my kids (18 & 13) can use it, clean it and reassemble it with ease.

We owned an Omega 1000 for several years and hardly used it once the novelty wore off (we missed juicing, though) because it was such a pain to clean! Also, it only juiced firm fruits; limiting your nutritional and flavor options.

The 8003 sits nicely at the end of my counter and juices everything from carrots to wheat grass thoroughly and quietly. We HIGHLY recommend it!

Well, I was not sure that a lower speed juicer was going to juice very well but this one is great. I feel so great and energetic after I juice. It has juiced everything I put in it so far( and that has been a lot of stuff). I have not tried to make pasta yet but I am very excited thinking about it. I am sure it will be fun!

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RR2I9XABBWZO6 Hello there this is Evo and I'm offering a video review of the Omega 8003 juicer. This is an outstanding juicer and I am so glad I didn't settle for something cheaper. Like stated in the video it has been an absolute JOY to use and have been using it daily for over a month now. With such a big warranty it is no surprise that Omega makes some of the best consumer grade juicers on the market. I hope you enjoy my review!

My last juicer was centrifugal type and lasted 20 years. When it died recently, I started researching a replacement only to find a mind-boggling amount of brands and styles. After all the time invested, I'm glad I decided on this Omega. The juicer is really impressive. Very compact. Quiet. My first item through was frozen bananas using the blank and I may never buy store-bought ice cream again. Next I juiced a combo of veggies and fruits. All processed smoothly, quickly, and effortlessly. The juice is clearly superior to that of my old juicer. No froth, very cold and fresh tasting. The cleanup is NOTHING compared to my last juicer. It cleans completely and quickly; no mess stuck in the screen that you have to work at. Very few parts. Really sturdy. This is a dream juicer, and at this price it's even more incredible. I'm thrilled with it!

This juicer is great! It's really easy to put together, use and clean. I'm so happy with it. And I love that it works at such a low RPM so I get the most nutrients out of my juice. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to add vitamins and nutrients to their diet.
I bring this juicer to work and everyone enjoys the fresh juices very much.

I have had 3 centrifugal juicers in the last 10 years and have found them all inadequate. They all produced too much pulp waste vs juice produced and were difficult and time consuming to clean.

With the Omega 8003, I have finally found the juicer of my dreams! It quietly creates great juice from everything especially wheatgrass and other greens like cilantro and parsley. The minimal pulp waste is bone dry!

The juicer doesn't take up much space on my already crowded counter and is a breeze to clean. Takes about a minute as opposed to 10 for my old juicers. I use it daily.

I love this juicer! Highly recommended.

This is a terrific juicer at a great price - works great for all kinds of veggies, especially leafy greens. I had a Champion juicer, which does not work well at all for leafy greens, produces lots of heat and foam, and is tough to clean. The Omega rotates slowly so it won't heat up your juice, and any kind of vegetable goes through it. You just have to cut up things like carrots into small chunks. It's simple and fast to clean and put back together. If you like green vegetable juices, this is the one to get!
