Questions To Ask When Buying A Juicer

Consider These Factors Before Buying A Juicer

By JuicersCompare.com

Are you considering purchasing a juicer? If so, consider asking yourself these questions when considering and comparing different juicers and deciding which juicer is best for you.

  • What will you be juicing? Citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit? Other fruits like apples or tomatoes? Or will it be carrots, beets, wheatgrass and or leafy vegetables? This is probably one of the most important questions that you can ask yourself. Types of juicers include citrus juicers, centrifugal juicers and masticating juicers. In general, citrus juicers use a reamer to extract the juice from citrus fruits only. Centrifugal juice extractors have blades or shredder discs that chew up and squeeze the juice out of the produce and can be used with a variety of fruits and vegetables. Masticating juicers crush and knead produce to a pulp before squeezing out juice.
  • Is the juicer noisy? Do consumer reviews list the unit as being noisier than others? When will you most likely and often be making fresh juice? If it will typically be early in the morning, while others may be sleeping, then this may be a more important consideration.
  • Is the juicer easy to clean and put back together? Does the juicer have a lot of small parts that may be more difficult to disassemble, wash and assemble? Do you want a juicer with parts that can be safely cleaned in a dish washer?
  • Does the juicer come with a warranty?
  • What does the juicer look like? Do you desire a stainless steel model, a designer look or is plastic okay? Consider the look and feel of your kitchen as you consider your juicer.

Consider these questions before buying a juicer and you will find the best juicer for your needs.
